About VGD
For more than 30 years we have been reliable partners of successful entrepreneurs. We provide integrated consulting services across the Czech Republic and internationally. Since 2023 we have been a member of the world’s leading consulting organization CLA Global. In the Czech Republic, we are proud to have a team of more than 260 professionals in three offices in Prague, Liberec and Olomouc. We are one family that continues to grow and create opportunities together. We are communicative, proactive, professional and consistent. We honor ethical and discreet behavior and client trust is always key for us.
Who are we
History of VGD
The history of VGD began in 1993 in Liberec, where Václav Podzimek and Jan Šuma founded the company Podzimek a Šuma. Four years later, in 1997, together with the company McDowell, they expand to the capital and thus the new company McDowell, Podzimek and Šuma is born. At the beginning of the new millennium, the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union enabled a merger with the Belgian company VGD, and in 2001 the company VGD, s.r.o. was established.
In 2003, the two branches in Liberec and Prague were joined by a branch in Olomouc and in the same year the first VGD Corporate Finance entity was established. In the following years, mergers with Grenna (2006), Fasco (2010) and Mivo (2022) followed. Gradually, other entities are established – VGD Appraisal (2011), VGD IT Solutions (2015), VGD Technologies (2016) and VGD Legal (2018). In 2023, VGD Group becomes a proud independent member of the world’s leading accounting and advisory organisation CLA Global.

At VGD, we have experience in providing integrated services in the field of auditing, outsourcing of financial and payroll accounting, tax, legal and transaction consulting, valuation consulting, corporate finance and IT services.
Thanks to the close cooperation of our professionals from various industries, we have a unique insight into the business world and its dynamics. We perceive the uniqueness of each client and, accordingly, we design and implement integrated solutions that cover all economic aspects of business, take into account diverse perspectives of fields and at the same time fully understand the specific needs and requirements of the client.
